A Qualified Motor Vehicle (QMV) is the official term used by IFTA to identify vehicles subject to fuel tax reporting requirements.
Qualification Criteria #
A vehicle is generally considered a QMV if it:
- Has three or more axles
- Exceeds 26,000 pounds GVW
- Operates in multiple jurisdictions
