Credit card statements alone generally do not satisfy IFTA fuel documentation requirements.

Why Not? #

Credit card statements typically show:

• Purchase amount
• Vendor name
• Transaction date

However, they usually do not show:

• Gallons purchased
• Fuel type
• Vehicle information

Recommended Documentation #

Fuel receipts should always be retained even when fuel cards are used.
