Description #
Duplicate fuel purchases occur when the same fuel transaction is entered more than once. Duplicate transactions can inflate fuel totals, distort MPG calculations, and affect IFTA tax calculations.
Possible Causes #
- Duplicate manual entry
- Fuel card imported multiple times
- OCR processed receipt twice
- Multiple users entered same transaction
- Synchronization duplication
Resolution #
- Review transaction history.
- Compare purchase date, location, and gallons.
- Identify duplicate entries.
- Remove duplicate transactions.
